TX5e-28™ Category-5e performance 28 AWG UTP patchcord. Category 5e/Class D, UTP, small diameter patchcord is constructed of 28 AWG, unshielded, twisted pair, stranded copper (dual-rated CM/LSZH) cable with high performance RJ45 modular plugs. Gold plated phosphor bronze contacts plated with 50 micro-inch of gold for superior performance. Tight bend radius enables improved cable routing and management in high density applications. Smaller cable diameter allows twice the amount of cords to be routed through cable managers and pathways compared to traditional Category 5e patchcord. Reduced cable diameter facilitates improved air flow, cooling, resulting in lower operating costs than traditional Category 5e patchcord. It is used in 1000BASE-T (Gigabit EtherNet), 100BASE-T (fast EtherNet), 155 Mb/s ATM, 622 Mb/s ATM, voice or data systems and voice over internet protocol applications.
